Twenty years have passed since Britain passed its own Patriot Act damaging the legal system beyond recognition.
While initially targeting the Muslim community and foreign nationals, detention without charge, secret evidence, mass surveillance, house arrest and citizenship deprivation are now affecting people from all walks of life.
To mark the release of its latest report, CAGE has gathered some of the top legal minds and most prominent change-makers in the country to reflect on the past 20 years, and shape a way forward together.
