Schedule 7 – Know Your Rights (Manchester)
November 11, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Schedule 7 is the power which allows the police, Home Office border staff and customs officers to search, interrogate and detain travellers at international airports, ports and train stations in the UK. Its stated purpose is to establish if a person is or has been “concerned” in the “commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.”
What will be covered at this presentation:
What is Schedule 7?
When can I be stopped?
What rights do I have?
What happens afterwards?
How can CAGE help me?
This is an important workshop that explains your rights during a stop, the officers’ obligations towards you and the impact it may have on your trip.
