The British government must secure immediate release of UK citizens kidnapped by Israel from Global Sumud Flotilla

London — The British government must secure the release of 14 British citizens kidnapped by Israeli Occupation Forces from the Global Sumud Flotilla, including rights activist Cerie Bullivant.

The British citizens kidnapped and held illegally face the same pattern of abuse and mistreatment documented in earlier detentions. 

The British government has a pattern of indifference when its citizens are kidnapped by the Apartheid Israeli state. Consular access has been slow and political pressure absent, which reflects a deliberate calculation by the British state to abandon citizens who oppose its complicity in war crimes. The Global Sumud Flotilla is an attempt to break the illegal siege on a population being starved to death in the course of a genocide. The British government has adopted, like its zionist allies, an “Israel first" policy.

Wife of Cerie Bullivant, said to CAGE: 

 "My children are used to speaking to their father every day. It has now been several days and they keep asking where he is and when he is coming home. I have reached out to the Foreign Office and they cannot even tell me what the British government is planning to do. They do not seem to be taking this seriously at all. My husband was trying to help save lives. He deserves to be protected by his government."
