Mohammad Al-Saadi was kidnapped from an undisclosed location, held incommunicado, and extraordinarily renditioned across continents outside any legal framework. That he now stands before a court as though due process was observed throughout does not make it so.

The US has made clear its disdain for international law, national sovereignty, and basic legal norms.
