Fayiz al-Kandari is a Kuwaiti National who was imprisoned by the US government for 14 years without charge or trial in Guantanamo Bay.

Throughout his imprisonment, Fayiz’s elderly father campaigned tirelessly for his son’s release.

When he was eventually freed, Fayiz promised his father that he would tell him everything that happened. However, his father passed away not longer after.

This series of interviews is part of Fayiz’s fulfilment of that promise to his father.
