Britain Confirms Complicity in Genocide by Maintaining Hamas Ban

_London – _The Home Office has today confirmed its active role in the genocide of Palestinians and its contempt for international law by refusing to remove Hamas from the list of proscribed terrorist groups. Hamas had argued that the proscription operates to deny Palestinians their right to defend themselves from occupation and extermination at the hands of a racist regime.
The Home Office is yet to provide any reasons to support its decision - despite a 106 page application by Hamas backed by hundreds of pages of expert evidence.
Yvette Cooper appeared to prejudice the process from the outset—publicly declaring that the government maintained its view about “the barbaric nature of this organisation” in a media interview the very day the application was filed.
The Home Secretary has yet to respond to CAGE International's separate application for Hamas' deproscription which argues that the ban impinges on freedom of speech and expression for individuals living in Britain.
Anas Mustapha, Head of Public Advocacy at CAGE International, said:
"In light of her decision to ban Palestine Action, it is obvious Yvette Cooper doesn't have the spine to stand up to genocide — just like the rest of a government complicit in silencing resistance and enabling mass slaughter.”
"Priti Patel’s 2021 proscription of Hamas was mired in political scandal, with her having been previously sacked for secret meetings with indicted war criminal Netanyahu. Now Yvette Cooper is walking the same shameful road — choosing political cowardice and complicity in genocide over truth and justice. History will not be kind.”
