CAGE responds to shadow Home Secretary’s desperate call to ban Muslim groups

London — In an interview aired by GB News, The Tory Shadow Home Secretary, Chris Philp, has called on the Muslim Brotherhood, as well as British Muslim organisations MEND, CAGE and 5Pillars to be banned.
Anas Mustapha, Head of Public Advocacy at CAGE International, said:
"Here is yet another example of a low grade politician exploiting a tragedy for political gain. Philp and his party are in free fall at the moment, desperate not to be outflanked on their fascist and racist credentials.
CAGE has led the fight against the security state and is undeterred by these hopeless and hollow threats. Successive governments have tried and failed to silence us, including Philp when he was a minister.
Those who have armed and enabled a genocide and trade on Islamophobia have no moral standing to declare anyone or anything beyond the pale."
