US and Zionist Genocidal rhetoric and aggression towards Iran must end: CAGE International

London — The war of aggression by the United States and Israel against Iran must be brought to an immediate halt. Recent threats of a “civilisational” erasure are not only deranged and ahistorical, they belie a genocidal intent that will leave thousands of innocent lives in its wake. Derogatory language towards Islam by US political leadership is fast pushing this conflict into a religious war. Zionist eschatological delusions are fast driving our world into a violent confrontation.

The targeting of Iran unfolds in the shadow of the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the wider attempts to impose the Greater Israel Project across the region. It also cannot be decoupled from the continued dominance imposed upon the Muslim world for decades. For over twenty years, the USA has led a campaign of assassinations, sanctions, regime change, and never ending wars in the Muslim world especially. This has eroded international legal norms and entrenched cycles of violence globally. The framework of the so-called War on Terror was always a mechanism for this - a justificatory architecture built to make permanent aggression legible as self-defence, to render Muslim life expendable, and to insulate Western political elites from accountability for the violence they commission.

What unfolds today is no aberration, the USA and its allies must entirely embrace the horrors they’ve given rise to. In the era of live streamed genocide, complicit political elites cannot wring their hands through sophisticated PR campaigns.
